What documentation do I need to open an ETFs personal account?

Identity document, certificate of ownership of bank account and proof of address.

To open an ETFs personal account, the following documentation will be required:

  • Identity document: Passport or National ID (national identification document of your country of origin)
  • Certificate of ownership of the bank account* from where the capital transfer is made.
  • Proof of Address**

* * As Certificate of ownership of the bank account, a copy of a bank statement will be accepted (or the certificate of ownership of the account that every bank makes available to its customers). If you send us a copy of the statement, you do not need to provide the full statement; it is enough to send us the first page where your name, surname, address and account number are displayed.

** As Proof of Address: Scans, photos or documents downloaded in PDF format (NOT screenshots) and with a maximum age of 6 months will be accepted.


We will need one of the following documents:

  • Invoice (not receipt) for Gas / Water / Electricity / Fixed Telephone, any other non-mobile service
  • Bank account statement**
  • Credit card statement** (max. 6 weeks old)
  • Certificate of registration stamped or digitally signed
