How to inform the bank account in Interactive Brokers?

Access the IB Client Portal and follow the steps in our manual

When you open an inbestMe account with an ETF portfolio, an account is also automatically opened in Interactive Brokers (the entity that guards your positions).

When your Interactive Brokers (IB) account is activated, you receive an email and an SMS to access your IB Client Portal.

For security and privacy issues, IB requires that  the client themselves report the bank accoun to make the transfer of the requested withdrawal.

Therefore, in case you have to make a total or partial withdrawal request, we can only send the money to a destination bank account previously informed by you, in Interactive Brokers.

You can follow these steps to inform your bank account in IB:

  1. Log in to Client Portal
  2. Click Transfer & Pay followed by Transfer Funds
  3. Select Make a Withdrawal followed by the applicable Currency
  4. Click Connect Your Bank next to the appropriate Method
  5. Complete all the required information
  6. If prompted, confirm your identity and type in the confirmation number emailed to you
