# Can I open an account, even if I do not live in Spain?

## Yes, at inbestMe we accept customers of almost all countries in the world

We accept customers from all over the world (South America, Australia, Asia, or Europe). The requirements to invest with us **depend on the portfolio you would like to open**:

For **Index Fund** accounts, we accept anyone who:

- Know s what the investment funds are.
- Has a valid Spanish DNI or NIE (whether you live in Spain or if you live in another country).
- Is not a resident in the USA or any other country that has been considered a “fiscal paradise”.

In case you do not own a Spanish DNI or NIE, you can open an account, but an ETF one, where you can contribute an initial amount of up to 18 currencies.

For **ETF** accounts, we accept anyone who:

- Know what ETF and investment funds are.
- Do not hold US citizenship or residency and do not reside in one of the following countries: Cuba, Canada, Syria, India, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, Australia, and countries considered “tax havens”.

About the taxation system you will be exposed to, it will be the one that applies in each specific case according to your residence and personal situation. We recommend always consult it with a specialized professional because inbestMe is not regulated to give tax advice.

**The minimum amounts to open an account depend on the type of portfolio and investment style. In the case of portfolios with Index Funds, the minimum amount to open an account is €1,000. For ETF portfolios, the minimum account opening amount is €5,000 / U$D.**
